Geely Automobile Group of China has unveiled an all-electric vehicle, called as the EC7-EV that is based on the Geely’s Emgrand EC7 model. The interesting thing about the model is the badge it bears that says “Detroit Electric Technology”, which they say that it was jointly-developed by the two great companies.
The stunning EC7-EV will go on sale in China in the first quarter of 2014. Geely informed us that it wants to sell 3000 units in the first twelve months. In addition, Geely also said that this stunning EC7-EV will be offered in both medium-range and also long range options. It means that the EC7-EV gets an optional higher capacity battery pack.
Moreover, the performance hasn’t been neglected and it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/hour in under 8 seconds along with the top speed of 200 km/hour. This impressive EC7-EV also makes the partnership between the two great companies official. In addition, since their first latest model since the year of 1939 is basically a Lotus, they do not seem to have problems with eth rebadging.
